Hygeia supports the World Health Organization Code (WHO CODE) on the marketing of breast milk substitutes. We are proactively promoting the WHO CODE as we feel that implementation of the CODE will increase breastfeeding durations and have a positive effect on breastfeeding. We further support International effort to improve mother and baby health outcomes and feel that this is best done through consensus decisions such as the World Health Organization.
